What is the average class size and student/teacher ratio?
We maintain a class maximum of 16 in grades JrK through third grade. JrK through first grade have full-time teaching assistants, while second and third grades have a teaching assistant for the grade level. Beginning in fourth grade, our class size maximum is 18. We have many support staff to also help your child– classroom assistants, two school counselors, nurse, Dean of Students, Learning Specialist, Chaplain, etc. Keeping a low student-to-teacher ratio is a priority for SLS in its commitment to understanding and elevating each student’s unique gifts.
Where do students go for high school?
Our graduates are accepted to their high school of choice 98% of the time. Depending on the graduate’s interest, SLS graduates attend magnet programs, public high schools, or independent/private high schools (local or boarding). We have a faculty member who helps families navigate the high school selection process, working with parents and students to find the best school for each child.
What does tuition include?
We strive for tuition to be as comprehensive as possible. Core school supplies, lunch, St. Luke Parent Association dues, instructional materials, yearbooks, and other things are all included.
